None of the majors are, and it really sticks in the PGA Tour's craw. That's why they created the Players' Championship, to be the "major" they run.
And it chaps their arse the players look at it as less than a major.

You saying the PGA championship isn't run by the PGA?
nevermind, I didn't make the distinction between the PGA and the PGA Tour. The PGA runs the PGA championship and the PGA Tour runs the Players Championship.
