Making major life decisions with golf in mind

Hello Golf Board,
Does anyone else account golf into their major life decisions?
I'm debating whether or not to take a new job. The one thing holding me back is currently I am consulting (sporadic) and living in Asia.
I cant really play golf without a caddy anymore. Also the thought of abandoning the Asian golf scene is really depressing. I've fallen in love with a lot of the courses in Java and cant stand to leave them behind.
Also my current job is like work 3 weeks then have 2 months off. Im averaging 8-9 rounds a month. The new job is 8-5 office job. In houston btw so I could still play - it wouldnt be terrible. But 2 weeks vacation a year - depressing
This year I've played Lake Karrinyup (Perth course home of the ISPS Honda Classic), Bali National, Royal Jakarta (Indonesian Masters)...and my all time favorite best course in the world Rainbow Hills. Red Mountain phuket, Vietnam golf trip, TPC KL....the list goes on.
Am I being stupid here? I think the oilfield is coming back, I have a few prospects on the horizon, and a huge bank account in Malaysia for fun money. Been overseas 6 years so would have to start from scratch in the US but it would be good. I mean I can pull the trigger, take the job, marry my current gf, buy a house, F250 and start popping out kids...or continue the life of a golfing ex pat degenerate/ next golf trip is to Pattaya.

The oil field is not coming back in Louisiana. Oil will not go above $60 a barrel again. You sound happy where you are FWIW

Work life balance. No one can answer that question for you.

Stay single and overseas and play golf

Unless you're a member of a private course, golf in Houston sorta sucks. You over pay for muni level style courses and have 5 hour rounds on weekends.
I love playing golf but it wouldn't affect a career decision unless I was moving to a cold weather climate. Then I'd have to see if it's worth it or not to not be able to play year around.

Oil is toast - don’t make your decision on long term prospects for oil.
Don’t get married unless you want kids - get a fricking pre nup

I have a plan. Stay in SE Asia. Money isn't too big a concern. I have enough fun money (money outside my core savings in stocks/index funds) to last approx 4 years. So I can stay in asia, hoe around, play golf every other day, learn the language and just have fun in general.
Then when Im getting a bit older, settle down with a rich, Im talking mega rich, Indonesian chick. I have connections to high society there. We're talking like corrupt ex generals grand daughters mega rich. And then I can just slot into the family biz doing sales or something. Live in a mansion, have a driver, a maid etc. Its a very plausible scenario.

No offense but you sound like an immature, ignorant prick.
