You can follow here:
LSU Men's Golf Regionals at Marana Arizona
Great start this morning. LSU shot -30 , good enough for 3rd place (-12 for the day). This is the final round and the top 5 teams advanced to the NCAA Championships in Southern California.
Juniors - Noah McWilliams and Jay Mendell - each had a great tournament and finished tied for 5th place, shooting -11 over the 3 days. Gunnlaugur Sveinsson shot 67 today after a slow start for the first 2 days. Dan Hayes also had a good tournament shooting -6 over the 3 days. LSU's highest counting score today was even par. Impressive.
Sucks to be Bama - they missed out qualifying by 1 shot.

That course is incredible. Number 9 is a 678-yard par 5.

it's also at 2k feet, so probably really a ~640 yard par 5 (roughly). still meaty, but def helped out some by the altitude.
that being said - geaux tigers. off to a hot start.

Up and down. Triple bogey, then eagle. Both by Noah Williams.

Going to be a tight fiinish tomorrow. LSU had a chance to create some breathing room today and went backwards.

The 4th score is the critical score. Not sure why Gunnlaugur Arni Sveinsson is not playing well. Alabama is on our tail for the 5th spot and they are playing well today. Looks like tomorrow it will be between Duke, Bama and LSU for 2 spots.

Dang it Alabama crawled back in it. We were looking failry locked in for a while. They might catch us by the end of this round.
Arizona went on a heater today, yeesh.

Matty and Arni need to play well tomorrow.

LSU is finished today. After a triple bogey on #8, Noah Williams shot 30 (6 under) on the back. LSU shot -9 each day so far. Currently in 4th place and is 2 ahead of Duke and 4 ahead of Bama, but both of those teams still have some holes to play today.

LSU finished strong the last few holes today. Bama is playing the harder front 9 last so LSU has picked up a little bit of a lead. Need a solid day tomorrow and they should advance.

AZTiger what’s the course record and who holds it?

Idk but AZ shot 24 under as a team and had one guy shoot 9 under. Absurd round for them

They lost their minds today.

Just need to hold off two of the three in Duke, Bama, and Clemson and you move on.

Correct and LSU is playing with Duke and Bama. Going into this morning, LSU is up 4 on Duke and 6 on Bama, but team golf scores can change rapidly. Tigers tee off on #10 (back nine) at 9:30 a.m. LSU has played the back 9 well, but the front 9 appears to be harder.

Bama is who they have to beat. If Duke beats LSU and LSU falls to the 5th spot, they still advance. Clemson is pretty far back. It would take an incredible round from them and a bad one for LSU for them to catch up.
