This is more about condos, clubhouse, beach club than the golf. Wife and I looking at places along the coast to buy as a second home/get away. She loves the beach, I love golf.

Anyone have a condo or home in there? How's the beach club? Service? Overall experience?

We expect to spend alot of time down there offseason and maybe 1-2 weeks there inseason. Trying to stay out of the overcrowded areas of OBA. She liked the fact that Lost Key had the beach club so she/we would have beach access, service and restrooms.

A good friend has owned one for about 3 or 4 years. Before COVID when they were fully staffed the beach club was great,
beach service and full menu. Now the beach club is limited in menu usually and very limited servers. I would guess it is going to be like this until they can get staffed back up.

The golf course is always in great shape other than slow green, but lives up to the name of "Lost Ball".

This. The place isn't called "Lost Ball" for nothing.

It's really not that hard. Yes, if you're off the fairway, its native area. However, the fairways are HUGE!!!!

Condos have bad reputation. Mass production. No elevators. Resale not so easy. Tons of units for one beach club.

I would look at Kiva much harder than Lost Key.

You can find good deals on the homes. The course is great. They are just about fully staffed up. They have multiple pools and the beach club area…great for watching Saturday afternoon football.

Not crowded with tourist and a quick 5 minute drive to what is left of fort Morgan marina for boating / fishing.

Kiva’s breakfast and lunch options are good but their dinner service closed at 6:30.

They do not have a heated pool that I know of.

I stayed at a rental there this weekend here is my .02

Granted I was there only 4 days

The condos are nice and I like the garage setup/space that is available. Can fit 1.5 cars and has a nook for golf cart storage/fridge

The main pool is big and nice. The pool at the beach club is very small. Maybe fits 20 people at most.

The beach club was closed.

Our condo had a golf cart rental and we took it to the beach club/beach access. It’s not peak season when I went, but I can only imagine how difficult it would be to park a golf cart to access the beach. They have Parking for about 10 carts and no cars. You’ll have to walk to get to the beach if you can’t find a spot, maybe a 10-15 walk. Maybe I’m lazy and used to San destin. Also you have to cross the main highway to get the beach club, a lil sketchy

I didn’t play golf at lost key, but instead played at perdido bay, was nice. Lost key looked nicer.
