That Tiger also is a player past his prime? PGA Tour full of them.

If I'm on the senior tour, I'd be busting my arse to get into LIV

Phil at +6. No doubt that Monday presser at the US Open is heavy on his mind.

I mean, everyone knows what the price money is and Schwartzel has been one of the better golfer in the world the past few months hasn’t he?

He had a top 10 finish at both the Byron and the Masters, but he definitely hasn’t been one of the better golfers in the world.

Those are also courses he’s played well at traditionally (along with the 3m). He’s currently 126th in the world.

I figure they will do better than Texas but maybe that’s not that big of a deal.
Besides being 128th in the world, let’s look at the stats. Mingo El Sawey usually provides these but he is missing

Charl “the LIV leader” Schwartzel

176th SG off Tee
168th SG on Approach
82nd SG around the green
198th SG Putting
166th SG tee to green

198th Total Strokes Gained

He is very consistent, consistently bad at everything

Are you mixing up Schwartzel and Oosthuizen?

I see potential but in its current state it’s not very good. The announcers trying to ham up everything doesn’t help. The team concept is interesting for a season long type thing. They are going by to be losing so much money on this for the foreseeable future but do they care?

I don't think so. Their plan is to play a full schedule of events by 2024. I think that's the point that they will evaluate things.

I believe they are going to get more big names after the US Open next weekend, but we will see.

It’s a long term play. It’s why a lot of people have been using the term sportwashing.

The majority of players that LIV has gotten so far... Phil, Poulter, Bryson, Reed, Westwood, etc. certainly wouldn't be described as humble, good guys. Most people would describe them as douche bags. Plus none of them are younger.

I think a turning point would be getting someone younger from the PGA Tour that people consider very "likable." Someone like Morikawa or Xander or Hovland. I'm not saying that will happen, but I think it could be a jump start for them.

I think Matt Wolff is in that mold. Except for the fact that he’s basically lost his golf game the last year and a half. Still a good get for LIV IMO.
