Go for every par 5. Play the right tees for you. Relax, have fun.

Enjoyable golf course but if it's one of the best layouts in LA, that doesn't say much for golf in the state.

My favorite course in the state, but if they’ve gotten as much rain as we have the last 2 weeks, bring a kayak
That course holds water like crazy

Wish I would’ve taken this advice. I’m a 6,200-6,600 guy. Played 7,200 today. Not much roll so it played even longer - - but loved the lay out and course was in great shape.

No, not really wet. But a few shots I had to be very careful with wedges to take the ball clean and not dig too much into turf, otherwise I knew it would chunk big time.

Fairways could be cut shorter - - not shaggy, but just enough to prevent great rolls. The rough is up...not so much that you cannot find your ball, but just enough to be a pain in the arse and screw your shot up. Greens rolling kinda fast to my surprise.

Is there rough around the greens or is it pretty much shaved. If so, how long is it?

Chipping around greens wasn’t difficult. Rough was higher along fairways. However, LGA mid-am is this weekend so I expect they will be letting greenside rough grow a bit this week.

the Rough cut is about 1.5". its all cut at the same height for the 165 acres of rough. the LGA being there doesn't dictate mowing or not, I promise you that. Its summer and the turf is very dense, and yes bermuda grass will grab your club face and mess up you shot out of the rough. especially the guys that think they will take a 5 hybrid out of thick rough and hit it 200yards.

It's not even close. As much as I love it, I can quibble a lot with the layout. Beginning and ending each 9 with a par 5 makes the 4s a bit monotonous. There's other things, but I still love playing there.

Has anybody played in the last few days? We are supposed to be playing there this Saturday but it's a 2.5hr drive and I don't want to travel that far to play in mud. I haven't played it yet so I've been really looking forward to it, but I'd also like to experience it in more ideal conditions.
Anybody know if that area has been getting rain?
Weather channel is calling for 60% chance rain there Wed-Fr and 40% on Saturday
