Ive not heard much said about John. I’ve always found myself pulling for him and the other tour guys all pretty much agreed he was the most talented of that generation, and I think they all like him too. He seems like he should be an LSU guy based on his personality and “habits.”

Is he playing on the champions tour? I never see him mentioned unless it’s a special event.
But that seems pretty harsh considering the other players’ personal lives.

I like him. Dude seems like he just likes to let loose and play some golf as part of his fun. Given his lifestyle and approach to the game, I also think it’s fun to ruminate that the dude has enough natural talent that he’d have dusted everyone if he put in half the effort Tiger did.

If you're going to conflate their private lives with their on course demeanor, both guys have some real skeletons in their closet. Tiger garnered some of the biggest crowds at the events he attends. Daly was just an enigma with a powerhouse swing and a lot of natural ability. Both were awesome to watch on the golf course and I'm sure all of us heathens would struggle with the off course lifestyle that those guys struggled with.
Personally, I appreciate Daly's story. Dude struggled with the pressure of being in the limelight. Smoking a couple of packs a round, and hungover at times, he still won. He made his legacy and maintained his down to earth humble personality. Seems like he's cleaned up his personal life and enjoys life. Not much more you can ask from a guy but to improve themselves.

I wouldn't want a tour of John Daly's but...he is who he is and that's cool.
