Why not put Reed on the team? I get it he’s a douche but dude kills in match play and need that on Ryder next year.

First reason is this is a PGA Tour run event. He isn't back on the PGA tour yet. Even ignorinf that, he's 60th in data golf right now. Why bring in a guy who has caused issues in the locker room who is not playing well right now.

He’s unfortunately one of those JT Poston/Davis Thompson types that even with results just looks like 15 other golfers on tour and has no personality.

Shame because he’s got serious game.

The JT pick probably bugs me more than Kouivon. Worth taking a swing to get him experience, JT simply hasn’t earned it.

The Kouvin pick is trying to get a young ready for the Ryder Cup. It makes sense and I don't have a problem with it. I wish a couple more younger guys would have been taken. Cantlay and JT do nothing for me. I could even argue Xander is a liability.

we are going to have to try something different for the Ryder Cup. What we are doing isn't working.

So I clicked thinking that he was left out. Then you answer your own question in the thread title with a tweet saying he is in.

They tried taking all the buddies and they just laid down, we played better last year but just need better pairings.

You need to watch Smylie’s podcast occasionally. Gerard is Hilarious.

Now this I 100% agree with

Glad to see Kouivon and Gotterup. I called Gotterup for the last Ryder Cup and got grief from some for it. Gotterup definitely has game.

I am not a fan of the Koivun pick.

I can think of a dozen other guys who have earned it over the course of two years of tournament play.

He may be the future, but his time isn't now.

JT is a fantastic match play golfer.
That’s what this is.

Being more concerned with ranking over the ability to play someone heads up means you don’t know ball

I’m in favor of treating the Presidrnts cup as an audition for tge Ryder cup. I think putting JT and Patrick Cantlay on the team is exactly why we fail. We retread old guys in poor to so-so form vs giving experience to up and comers. I’d have added Gerard for sure.

Sorry, meant on the course. I know he’s cool and has some fire, just doesn’t show it very often.

Only meant his general on course demeanor and appearance feels like he gets lost in the shuffle for whatever reason and he doesn’t get the right amount of respect.

He should be on the team.
