I remember reading about a year ago that TPC on the Westbank would be closing for several months for a complete re-sod of the course after the Zurich this year. Is that still scheduled to happen? Will the course not be open for play at all following the tourney?

if so, I hope it's a resod and a redesign.

The TPC redeaux starts April 30--------Oct 31.
The Plan is to re-open on November 1, 2019.
The rumor mill is that they will sod the slopes around the greens and sand traps, and sprig the fairways with Celebration Grass.

Pretty sure they're replanting the greens too.

They are cutting down all the trees, shaving the rough, and moving up the tees. It will be much harder when it reopens.

Your golf life is full of disappointment isn’t it?

I love golf, watch it and play nearly every week, doesn't mean I can't wish it was better.

By wishing one of the few decent LA courses closes after a renovation?

How hipster of you.

I'll just start harping on how awesome TPC Louisiana and Bay Hill are. A lot of the posters here will think I'm the best poster because of my affinity for terrible golf courses

The course is just bland to me. Super nice, well kept, etc. The layout is just not exciting and very repetitive, especially off the tee

I agree with this. There’s not much excitement to be had or much danger with a bad tee shot. The most excitement at the last tourney was seeing poulter go psycho and destroy a fairway with his 3 wood.

I mean, every tee ball gives you a trap down one side, where if you crushed it, you may carry, but probably not.

Once or twice, OK. But 14/14 gets old, quick.

I particularly enjoy the sand traps around the tee boxes where if you top your drive right or left, you get to hit from packed sand and dirt right behind a cute bush.

Not that I've done that.

That's Dye's MO...angles off the tee.
