Look if you want to bring alcohol just do it. Don't come on TD and try and justify it because one time you worked at a golf course and know everything there is to know about golf course alcohol sales.

That's the point of this thread bud.

Here's an idea I thought of. Let the golfers bring there own ice chest and charge em 10 bucks extra per cart. Easy money, no cart girl, no liquor license, win, mfing, win.

Depends on the course. I typically take 6-7 beers with me to the courses that allow it. Someone might have said it earlier, but if the course enforced it, I usually buy some beer there. If they don’t, I take my own.

They're already overcharging for the round.

How do you know this? Golf courses struggle man. Most of them just break even.

If you want to sneak something on, fine. But if you are drinking/eating on the course, at least try and buy something from them. Bring a few for the front nine buy a few for the back.

Most courses could use every bit of revenue that they can get. Please don’t come here bitching about greens and sand traps if you are willing to fork over $3 for a bud light.

Alcohol is marked up in bars, too - that doesn't mean it wouldn't be trashy to sneak your own drinks into a bar

Do you usually bring your own food to a restaurant?

A few guys I know got caught with their own beer on a course today and were forced to go put it back in their cars
They were at least able to finish their round though

It is no surprise golf courses struggle in Louisiana. People are cheap as hell.

I think if you are going to be a cheap arse at least buy something and tip the servers / cartgirls.

I'm also not paying a $60+ cover to get into the bar...

I can assure you that is not always true. We sell 6 packs for $10, we make a $4 profit and people complain, however they don't complain about paying $1 for a bottle of water that cost us a quarter, or $2.50 a gatorade that cost us 50 cents. they just dont think about it that waY.

Why would I tip the cart cleaning guys? Should I tip the guy that empties the trash cans on the course too? Probably you too.

I tip the guy that puts my clubs on the cart, and the guy that puts my clubs back in my car. Not the cart cleaning guy.

Public courses you have a point.

Private semi priv clubs FU, I hope they kick you off course.
Breaking the rules.
People used to try this shite al time at our club,
One dumbass kid came inside with a 12oz can on the turn.
We don’t sell 12 ozs.

I typically try to buy a few beers (if they have a decent selection) or maybe a Blood Mary. I just can’t stand light beer. If all you have are 4$ Ultras, Bud and Miller, I’m bringing my own beer.
