Inexpensive golf trip for graduation
Long(er) post incoming, but looking for recommendations into a golf trip for 2-4 guys as graduation presents to ourselves. We're all not terrible, but not great either. Don't know handicaps but probably in the 15-20 range.

Location
Leaning towards driving somewhere in the 3-5 hour range from BR but wouldn't mind flying somewhere. I know everyone would love to play Pebble or The Ocean Course in their life, but we know they would be way too expensive and I don't want to blow the first trip out just so every other trip I take later can feel less exciting. So was wondering about RTJ, Biloxi, or maybe even Arizona since we don't mind the heat and could possibly be cheaper. Ideally would spend 3-4 days there with at least 3 rounds that wouldn't break the bank (like 80-120 dollars per round)

Lodging
Probably would just do an airbnb or see if there is a package that is too good to pass up. Most likely this would be the area we would spend less on because we care more about the golf than where we would sleep.

Activities other than golf
Like I said, this trip would be mostly about golf, but couldn't hurt if there was a beach or maybe some interesting hikes/views to see while not golfing, or a good nightlife scene.

TL/DR: Just a couple of college kids looking for a good cheap golf weekend trip. Not amazing golfers but just looking for fun, any must do places to see that we can afford while still young?

TIA, long time lurker but interested to see what y'all would think as you seem like a knowledgeable group

Oh and for your time

Sandestin might be a place to look at. 4 different courses to choose from, you can play an entirely different game of golf every day of your stay and at a reasonable price.

Biloxi and Gulf Shores would be my picks. The courses are 6 one way, half a dozen the other between the two spots. Biloxi has the casino, gulf shores has flora ama and the beach.

Might be a little further than 5 hrs, but a duo of Pine Dunes (Frankston, Tx and the Tempest (Glatewater) would be a cool 12 punch

If in the summer, I’d fly to Denver and head west into the mountains and play some of those courses.

Here is where you are wrong. Life will get in the way and this group may never be able to make a trip together again. I have no suggestions as life has got in the way and I’ve never been on a golf trip, anywhere. Do it now

Play a few RTJ courses. My dad took me on a 5-day tour for my HS graduation. We played 3 different cities/resorts, 2-3 courses at each one. Good balance of challenging, gorgeous, and fun. Everything from elite championship courses to little 9-hole par-3's you can scoot around at dusk. One of the best memories I have.

Paako Ridge and the desert courses in and around Albuquerque are very underrated.

Why not go somewhere the strapped boys have been? They do the 3 days with $500 for both of them. Of course this doesn’t include flights and they go during the week. But if you’re looking for cheap at a good value, they sure know how it’s done.

I’ll vote Scottsdale. You can get an Airbnb with a pool for a very reasonable price if u don’t mind some heat and the golf will be the best out of everywhere mentioned. Grayhawk, wekopa, troon north, tpc can all be played for less than $100 during the summer months

I promise you there is no better deal than RTJ Magnolia Grove in Mobile. Two great championship courses and the BEST 18 hole Par 3 course in the country.

About 2 1/2 hours from Baton Rouge. Y’all could easily play a championship course and the Par 3 each day. In fact, we normally start with the Par 3 at around 10 am, then we get the twilight rate on the championship course in the afternoon.

Hell, I’d make the drive over there just to play the Par 3 course over and over again. You can play different tee boxes each day and it becomes a totally different course. It’s like playing 18 signature Par 3 holes.
