But almost all the greens were totally lost. The last time I played they were decent but I never expect much it’s Just great to play 18 in about 2 hours.
But this time I quit after 9, the new cart concrete paths are a nice touch.
It’s just too bad about the greens.
I guess it’s the weather?

A lot of places have their greens in primo shape right now. It’s city park. Nothing kills greens like a completely aloof staff with a limited budget.

I think BREC has a significant lapse in oversight. I’ve never seen their courses this poorly run

It's really odd having clark greens in great shape and then Webb and city park are completely unplayable

Now if the stupid arse kids playing clark would quit slamming their putters down and chipping off the greens

It seems like right before Covid, Webb's greens were in the best shape they had ever been. They have been shite since.

I played Webb late last week and was thinking the whole time "wow, the greens are worse than city park" and then I went and played 9 at city. I've never seen them that bad. It was surprisingly bad, even for someone like me who doesn't expect much given the affordable price of walking at city park.

I was gonna start a thread about Webb park greens. They are almost LSU course level and a couple already are. 10, is basically a sand pit.
It makes you not want to play. Maybe less people will??
It’s super sad.

Lets not get carried away.

LSU greens are the worst I have ever seen on any golf course in my entire life. Not an exaggeration.

I honestly never expect much when I play city park but the green’s condition are the worst I’ve ever witnessed.
I’m glad i didn’t venture over to webb park and witness those greens

Now the fairways at Webb were in great shape, probably the best I've ever seen them for the most part.

If the greens at Webb were just mid tier it would be a great little track but as of now you cant play golf out there.

Heading out there now.
It’s funny; their fairways really are nice right now.

The last thing that place needed was a cart path. So they put in a cart path.

Hilarious
Good point. It’s unfortunate that city park wasn’t either a 18 hole tract or had one or two par 5.
I just wish the greens weren’t shite right now

I could be a banging par 3 course with minimal investment. A halfway decent superintendent should have no issues keeping it up. They’ve been passible since the 1980s up to now.

I’m about to take the 9 year old out there just to hit it around, it’s still a perfect place for that.

It’s potential is off the charts if they put just more effort into it.

I drove my the new Clark. I'd kill for City to have those greens.

Played Clark Saturday for the 3rd time in a month. It was crowded. Played 18 in about 3:45, which is slower than I'm used to, but given the number of people out there, not terrible.

Greens look really nice, but are not fast and do not hold shots very well. But I'm OK with that, as they are leaps and bounds better than City or Webb.

Talked to the manager out there, and he said the amount of play they've gotten has been overwhelming. They are trying to get more carts since they run out on a daily basis and have people with tee times waiting on carts.

Hopefully they can maintain the conditions with the amount of play they are getting.
