Highland Pines will be raising the weekend green fees to $160 effective July 1st.
Guess they need to do pay off the new clubhouse.

did this ever happen? I moved out of Houston (Katy) last year and the price of golf is out of control over there

Ya I think it got raised.
I went to Cinco to practice yesterday and part of the putting green is dead. Their range needs mats, it's too busy and is a mud hole.

Walk to the other side of the range. It is usually in better condition due to less traffic.

Yeah, it's been crazy for a while. If I can play somewhere for under $100, I feel like I'm winning. Speaking of Katy, I am shocked at the lack of public courses down there. Up here in Cypress, we have 4-5 18s within 5 miles. There are only 2 in Katy. I guess you can go down to Sugarland, though.

I used to use the other end when I had a range membership but I'm an expert at being lazy.
