Hitting nets

I’m a once a week golfer and i hate it. With two kids I simply don’t have time to hit the range and the ranges in BR blow anyway.
Does hitting into nets help your game? Considering one.

Buy a net, mat and a Garmin R-10 all for under $1k pair it to a tablet and you’ll definitely get positive results.

My plan for the next couple months is to put this same setup together. Do you have this set up? Would like to get some recs on a mat. Want to get it right the first time being they are so expensive.

Depends on your budget.
Country club elite is best per dollar one I think. I have a couple of them and they’re legit.
If you’re willing to go into like the $700+ range tho I’ve heard there’s maybe better ones.
I’ve never had any complaints about mine tho for just something in the garage or whatever. If you’re building a simulator I’d maybe go cheap mat with a holy grail hitting strip

I don’t but I have a buddy that put together a home simulator in a spare room.
He probably 3k plus into it because of the projector, cheap tv, iPad, mat, screen etc…
But the Garmin seems to be accurate with his irons but the driver numbers are off.
Recently we went and got fitted using a trackman and the numbers off his 6I was similar to the Garmin.

The Garmin has to assume some of the data, it doesn't measure all of the needed parameters to simulate accurate ball flight. It is good for the price range it is in, though, which is near the bottom of the price range for a launch monitor.

a net without a monitor of some sort is a recipe for a disaster in my opinion. You just don't know what the ball is doing and can work in something terrible to your swing without even knowing it. plenty of cheap monitors that can help. Rapsodo was good for me when I started, garmin may be a little better but big draw back to radar is you need a decent amount of space in front and behind. I have a launch pro now and its fantastic but its a 7k device.

I purchased a netplayz net from home depot, a pad that I built a wood deck for, and purchased a mevo+. Seems to help.

$3k now
3k is without software. 7k to unlock for life with club data.

Hitting nets can absolutely help your game but understanding it's place is pretty important.
Even the cheapest net with foam balls can help you work on mechanics, timing, grip, tempo, etc
Use your net for tempo and such, use the range to work on your swing and use the course to work on your game but a net shouldn't really be a substitute for the range or the course.
If the options are no range or net, hitting into a net is always better than nothing. But you'll best be served using all three (net, range and course) especially if you can use the net almost daily.
