Grip when putting

What type of grip do you use when putting? How did you learn it?
Having a hard time finding info on the correct putting grip. Seems to be very opinion based making me wonder how important it actually is.

There are many different putting grips.
Jack Nicklaus said IF he was starting over, he would do left (lead)hand low bc it is harder to come up and out of a putt from that position.
For most putting grips, the grip is more in the palms than the other clubs.
I’ve tried several different putting grips over the years. IF you can see the line and get the speed right, you can make it with conventional, left hand low, saw, claw, whatever.
Experiment and see what works best for you.

I've gripped my putter the same way that I have gripped all my other clubs for 25 years. Never tried left hand low, claw, arm-lock, etc., my standard grip just always felt right.
This year is actually the first time I've used anything other than a standard size grip on a putter. Only doing that because that's what LAB suggested.
I'm very progressive

I use the opposing palms grip, left hand slightly higher than right. I’ll try different grips occasionally, but always go back…

Some actual putter grips help too. I like over size grip on my putter. It aleviates some wrist waggle and is more confident feeling.

Switched to claw last month after 50 years of traditional grip.
I see why pros are going to it. Really forces you to concentrate on the stroke

Standard overlap. Haven’t 3 putted in 22 rounds so not worth messing with anything else.
Don’t understand left hand low. Could see it working close but I’m so right hand dominant I don’t see it ever working for me on lag puts. Same thing as claw and I’m not doing a Scottie switcharoo.

Have used left hand low for about 3 years and now love it. It takes a long time till it feels natural but once it does you’ll make more putts.

correct putting grip.
Does not exist. Putting is such an individualistic thing. Grip the putter however you feel gives you the best chance to hit your line and distance, repeatedly.
For me, that's left hand low with a slightly longer grip that I "wristlock" or "armlock."

Left hand low. Ping old fashioned /standard grip. Learned this playing with my Dad as a little kid and it was the only way I could use his full size putter.
