Grip tip I stumbled on

Lot of times If I’m not hitting it well I get paranoid that my grip might be slightly strong or weak or unsure. It’s most likely not what the problem is but I don’t know it’s mental when I’m not hitting it well with that. Anyway I picked up a club with the face facing down towards the ground out in front of my chest with my left hand on the club and palm facing down. Then just roll my left hand over to the right until the club face is square and slide my right hand in. It feels fantastic for me. It at least gives me freedom to know my grip is the same as every time.

This doesn’t make sense. Your left palm would need to be facing up to start with, not down

I grabbed one of those skillz grip trainers and threw it on an old club and would hold it while watching TV for a couple weeks. Now it feels weird when my hands are not in the right position.
May get one of those Lamkin grips a la Scheffler for a practice and warmup club. Still debating.

One good video I saw the other day on IG had a guy breaking down how an overly strong grip leads to a cupped wrist at the top and could lead to more of an open face which can be counter intuitive

I think you have bigger problems than your grip

As Blane Mcalister would say a Caveman don’t give a damn, which means impact is all that matters. Just watching pros swing the magic is impact. They all find it repeatedly despite the myriad of grips and swings on tour. Just figure out what works for you stick with it and don’t worry about strong or weak.

Caveman don’t give a damn,
For me, when I make a good “swing” , the club just finds its way.
It’s about “allowing” the club to swing.
If I “try”, I hold it to tight or to loose.
If I just “let go”, and allow the club to gather, it works better for me.
Sunday I made several great swings. Yesterday not so much.
Golf is hard.
