Got my 6 year old some new sticks for his B day. He’s a lefty. Had to search quite a bit.

Can anyone recommend a good golf coach / program in the BR area for him to start learning the basics and loving the game?

I love to play with him. But I’m not a good teacher or golfer by any means.

Have him swing hard while making contact and staying balanced. Keep that up for a year and start with a coach next year.

A summer camp is good too.

Thinking about getting him signed up for the Island Country Club summer camp in Plaquemine. Have heard it’s really a good one.

This is like watching someone talk to someone famous, and the person doesn't know.

My son played a lot at that age. Now mostly baseball and football.

Most important: keep the left arm straight at backswing, head down until after ball is hit. That, and have fun.

Jack Terry at BREC does a bunch of Junior Golf programs every year. My kids went to one last year with him. Good value for the $$$.
