Have an opportunity to take a customer in a few weeks. Anyone recommend any courses nearby?

I see Eagle Ridge is highly rated on Google.

Thanks in advance!

Black bear is an awesome track for the price, but beware, like most courses in Louisiana, the bunkers are unplayable.

I would rec Bayou DeSaird & Frenchmans in Monroe - Black Bear in Delhi - Vicksburg CC (one of the most unusual golf courses in the world).

because of elevation?

The course in Bovina about 10 miles east of Vicksburg is supposed to be pretty decent.

They got rid of a ton of bunkers due to this. Looks completely different than a few years ago.

There’s a public one in between Monroe and Shreveport that has an airfield in the middle of it. Can’t recall the name but it’s a decent little course given the area

You are talking about Trails End in Arcadia, LA. Fun course with a lot of turtleback greens. They just got GPS carts too.

Monroe: your best bet is prolly going to be either Frenchman's or Calvert. Frenchman's is easier with a better price right now. I think Calvert also just punched tuesday since they are getting ready for the Pine Cone.

Exactly right. Black Bear has filled in all of the fairway bunkers and sodded them. The only bunkers left are green side and last time we played they were in good condition.... granted that was the last weekend of June.

I would play Black Bear. While it is not in as good a shape as it should be, it is still good enough. It's the best public course in the geographic area you listed.

Played Black Bear a few days ago. It’s is not in good shape right now. Would recommend Frenchman’s or drive up to mystic creek in Arkansas.

If you are taking a customer I would for certain try to get an angle on getting on at Squire Creek or make the drive to play Mystic. Other than that I would do Calvert or Frenchman’s.

VCC is the hardest 6,000 yard course in the world. Lots of elevation changes and very small greens. It is private but you might be able to get on through your golf pro.
