Is it worth it? Did improve your game, or make swinging easier?

I’ll find out at the end of the month, home made swing and haven’t been fit in over 20 years.

Always get fitted. Especially with the technology available now.

Depends on how much they charge... I got fitted for a whole bag but only purchased the driver, wedges, and putter. So far, those areas of my game have improved dramatically. Hoping to win the lottery soon to afford the irons and shafts.

I would say for driver and irons it helped. Putter, wedges, fwy and hybrid find what looks / feels the best.

Wedges are so confusing with all the grinds and lofts.

The options are near endless

Exactly. I’m not saying everyone should get fit for every club. Just that it’s funny we ignore the clubs that we use the most. There are a ton of wedge options and exponentially more putter options. Getting fit would make things much more simple for most.

My only issue with getting a true fitting is that I feel like I'm always changing and I'm so inconsistent

What works for today's swing may not work for tomorrows

I think lie angle and length are easy to fit, but shafts and MOI/CG adjustments are a little too custom sometimes.

Do it, no excuses for not getting fit these days.

Where do you guys typically get fitted. Are the fittings done at places like Dicks/Golf Galaxy worth it, or should I find somewhere else.

I've played for about 15 years and a decent player but just recently thought about finally spending the money to get fitted.

Depends on you level. If you are just starting out, then the only thing that will improve your game (IMO) would be proper flex, frequency of play, and forgiveness of clubs. When I first started playing, I got down to scores around mid 80s with a set of wilson hyper speeds. Got fit and shaved off a few strokes but nothing earth shattering. Your results may vary.

I will say, if you're just beginning, you should play a little bit to get a baseline to help with the feel element of your fitting process. Smooth vs boardy etc.

I have not done irons since I've S300 shafts forever and like them.

Was fitted for driver and 100% worth it. Love my Epic SZ.

Find a place that has a lot of different options, and has someone knowledgeable with a launch monitor

I've heard the actual retail fittings aren't as good as somewhere like Golftec or other private parties.

I know I called Edwin Watts when I was getting ready to do my driver and didn't feel comfortable doing it there, maybe since the guy I talked to didn't really seem interested in giving me any information.

I got driver fitted at Golftec and would recommend. It was a good experience. A little pricy, but I would go back.
