They check twice. They write their score down and their opponents. After they swap scorecards to check if the scores they write match what their opponent wrote. Then they hand it to the tournament official who reads the scores hole by hole. They nod. Sign and leave. There is literally two failproof methods. And they still do it. But it mainly happens after a bad round or bad last hole. Spieth doubled 18.

Surely Cantlay will pull it off today. Led the whole tournament, but down 1 to List now.
I placed a bet on him at -130 on Friday after the Spieth DQ & then +170 today
ETA: down 2 now -16 to -14 & List is now the betting favorite

Cantlay and Xander never got anything going and hideki looked like he could hit any shot he wanted.
Also kinda lost in Hideki’s round but really nice to see zalatoris back. His putting stroke looks significantly better.

I saw he was emotional after his T2 finish today. Apparently he lost a family member on Thursday. He got a hole in one on Friday. What a crazy weekend

I would honestly like Zalatoris a little better if the announcers would stop calling him Willy Z. Call him by his first or last name, like you do every other golfer out there. I don't know if the announcer thinks he sounds cool by doing that but it's retarded. It's like when announcers call Mahomes Patty Mahomes.
