Have you see better results with your fitted clubs or are your scores about the same?

Much better. Golf is a game of variables. Using clubs fitted for you eliminates a huge variable. Eliminate as many variables as possible.

My scores are definitely better over the few years I’ve used fitted clubs. The dispersion pattern on fitted clubs Vs off the rack is usually a huge difference.

Just go get fitted. It’s not gonna make you a good golfer, but it will make you a better golfer.

This. Plus you will have the confidence that if you stay steady with your ups and downs the club will be where you want it. Even if they are fitted perfectly you are still going to need to give it some time hitting them to really let them click and that sense of where your club head is at all times.

I think a driver fitting is definitely worth it.

The right shaft can help you no matter your swing speed.

I got fit last July for the first time. Previous set of clubs were bought off the rack when I first got into playing golf.

The biggest difference for me are the misses are not nearly as bad and the flushed shots are miles better. I like the way another poster put it in this thread --

i think this depends on how outdated your clubs are, skill level as well.

i absolutely recommend a fitting for anyone that can shoot mid to low 80s consistently.
if you are a once a month player that shoots in the 90s, then not sure its worth spending a couple thousand on clubs.

this definitely. i don't feel as pinpoint accurate with the new ones, but my misses are far better.

I just recommend it for anyone wanting to get better. I think there is a baseline of talent that you want to get to first. If you are shooting in the 100's, id spend that money on lessons and get your swing cleaned up and consistent. Then at that point you'll probably be in the 90's and id get fitted, depending on how much you want to invest in your game.

After 20 plus years of playing with 2nd hand and off the shelf equipment i finally went and got fitted for irons recently.. It made a huge difference in my game.. New Irons i'm much more consistent hitting due to lie angle being correct and the shaft that was perfectly suited to my swing.. I still get the occasional bad shot, but not at the clip i used to ..
