My feelings are this. If you dislike Patrick Reed, fine I get it. But don't go around whining and complaining about how much you hate the guy like he's ruined the game of golf. In fact, quite the opposite. Everything about Patrick Reed, his marriage, his controversy, the fact that he keeps on playing well and won the masters is the most entertaining and hilarious storyline to follow in golf for the last several years.
Golf needs a villain. Patrick Reed fits that mold perfectly. If everything he does makes your blood boil, you're soft and you need to get a life.

He’s a great golfer, there’s no debate about that. I think it’s funny when he creates all the controversy around him and then cries wolf when people call him out on it.
And this whole “golf needs a villain” schpeel is funny too. They don’t, golf is boring to anyone outside of the community, what does a villain do for it?

No matter what sport it is, if someone sees a headline with "professional" and "cheater" in it, they're probably going to click it because that sounds really interesting. At this point, the more eyes drawn to golf the better.

At the Zurich last year on Friday on 17 someone yells out of the gallery when he hit his shot “GET IN THE WATER!!”
His caddy was pissed. The marshalls were pissed. It was pretty funny seeing his reaction.

Don’t love him, don’t hate him. He missed the cut this week, FWIW. His wife is a piece of work; she definitely controls him (I still think she is why he is estranged from his family; I have seen this story far too many times). However, he acts a fool, then whines about it? Nah.
