I used to despise Jason Kelce for his seemingly unwarranted fame and opportunity and publicity. But in reality I realized it wasn’t he post playing career itself but the during playing and post playing praise of being a” great all time center”. He just was not. His last couple of years were terrible. I remember seeing DTs just walk him backwards…..At best he maxed out as average….
But as far as being a personality now, sure why not. He seems like a great guy. Better than the trans lesbian POC they usually try to force down our throats…. In fact give me more Jason Kelce. Also throw in Travis and his girlfriend what’s her name….. I want more like them on Tv……

I shouldn't be as upset about this as I am. It's embarrassing ANGC is allowing this to continue. Need Ridley to channel his inner Clifford Roberts.

So far this is my favorite Masters live thread. Was over everything Kelce family adjacent about 2 minutes in to their rocket to fame.

I’m glad to be the Old Man yelling at the cloud but the Par 3 contest has become one of the clownish events. It could be an amazing sports spectacle but they turn it into the absolute worst version of a hit & giggle.

So your bar for having someone cover something like the Masters is simply not to be gay or black? The Masters and quite a few other things they are now covering should have a higher standard than "What person can chug a beer?" He's essentially a white DEI hire because he's done nothing to get where he's at.

Why even ban cell phones anymore? The entire purpose of the masters was to be refined, throwback, and not falling in with the times

I also agree that the Par 3 is practically unwatchable now. Used to be, everybody would kind of play it straight up and then if they wanted to DQ themselves they'd let their kid or wife hit the tee shot on 9 and everybody would have a good laugh, but there'd still be enough people not DQ'ing to have a legitimate winner.
Now, ESPN has done what ESPN does. They've interjected themselves with ridiculous personalities that are incompatible with golf instead of letting everyone have a good old fashioned family day where the story is the golfers having a low stress afternoon with their families before shifting focus to the Masters Tournament.
shite like this is why ESPN ran practically 24/7 in my bedroom growing up in the 90's and early 2000's and now I only cut it on when there is a live sport being played.

Yea I mean I'm obviously going to watch but I used to love watching coverage leading up to the Masters and the Par 3 challenge too, but the stuff they have going on now has killed my desire to watch anything.
The Masters should be about the golfers, tradition, the course, etc. But instead we have Jason Kelce and Bert freaking Kreishner jumping into the pond. Some of the members and old heads have got to be shaking their heads wondering wtf kind of spectacle has this become.
Just ready for tournament to start.
