I’d think the upkeep would be a huge cost...and pain in the arse.

i have one of these for putting indoors on carpet. seems to work pretty well and is only a couple bucks. not outdoor turf and such, but allows you to practice in the living room.

What upkeep would there be on a turf putting green?

Turf isn't worth it. Might as well get a Mickey mouse indoor putting kit.

I bought the shuffleboard-like strip to goof off on in the backyard. It's nice enough and easy to store. You can customize your own sizes and holes as well.

I had one in the past but am actually putting in a new one now. Best installer in LA is Shane Hughes with Louisiana Custom Golf Greens.

I use the one down a few stop signs on the left from our trailer park, it’s free

Buddy of mine just had one installed in his backyard. I had no idea how intricate and detailed and labor intensive it would be. His is like a mix between a peanut and a kidney. 3 holes. Flat. About 6-8 ft wide and about 18 ft long. $6,600 after everything. It’s pretty low maintenance. Drains well. Etc.
