You’re like the 4th person to bring the bounce on my wedges up.

Jesus Christ the people on this board can be insufferable

Maybe, just MAYBE miss hits on the course are my own damn fault and not the club. Y’all must be unbelievably unbearable to play with.

I see you replied to me and think I was the second to mention bounce...by a min.
Around Houston and we have the same problem with either very tight lies and/or hard pan even from fairways once summer drys everything out. Switching from a 56/11 to a 56/8 makes a huge difference in making good contact on pitch shots for me. Something I thought worth sharing that could be helpful.

BTW, You come across as the insufferable one and your problem is definitely user error. Have fun playing out of the rough!

but if it’s in the fairway or tight lie I’m toast, 50% chance of a chunk/thin shot.

this is why I typically dont go below my 50d in the fairway. I leave the 58 only for short-sided delicate shots. I'll step down to the 54 in the fairway if I absolutely have to have a bit more spin.

Leave the wedge in the bag. Pull a 7 iron and bump and run it. Heck, pull a 5 wood and bump and run it if you can't mentally get over chunking a wedge.

This makes logical sense.

At some point the conditions can dictate which tool is right for the task.

It is what it is.

Keep the center of your chest moving towards the target. That eliminates the chunk or thin shot. Don't try and help the ball up either.
