Will be in Destin Sun-Sun. Tee times at Kelly and Regatta Bay. Where would you play your 3rd round?

We played Indian Bayou, but i just wasn't a big fan of it. Felt like a course in Louisiana or Mississippi rather than Destin.

Regatta was my favorite. I absolutely loved the layout.

I like Indian bayou but the other guy is right. It’s not a “beach course”

Indian bayou got rid of the nine holes that had some swamp lands that made it different. Hated having to carry those things as a kid.

Emerald Bay, played it last summer. One of the best down there besides Raven.

Its a good course, I just wasn't as impressed as I thought I'd be. I played it a day after Camp Creek and that may be part of the problem. But I just don't love meaningless bunkers placed all over the hole. That isn't appealing to me, visually. It was in good shape, though.

What was it that you like about it? Maybe I missed something.

Is Eglin AF Base golf course still top notch? I remember playing it back in the 80's and it was really nice....grounds crew wore Jumpsuits that warned you that they where federal prisoners.....but they took great pride in the work on the course!

Windswept Dunes is always a fun play. Long and BIG course.

Also Eglin AFB course, as mentioned above, is always a fun course.

Played Kelly Plantation and Raven. Skipped Regatta, beached instead. Raven was GREAT, awesome layout, course was in great condition. Greens were almost fully recovers from aeration and rolled great. Kelly was really good and in good condition, greens about the same as Raven but slower. I preferred Raven over Kelly.
Shot 81 @ Kelly and 79 @ Raven. Kelly’s greens were slow and I just couldn’t get the ball to the hole too many times. Two great courses though!
