Going to Destin in a couple of weeks. Anybody have opinions on best courses this summer? Play every year there and try to bounce around. Curious which courses everyone likes.

There's probably 2 or 3 new topics on this started every week on this board. Try the search. I think there was one last week.

ETA: Last week

Kelly Plantation is always one of the top rated area courses, but Sandestin’s Raven, Baytowne, & Links courses are always in good shape. If you can get on @ Burnt Pine, even better…

I played Links 3 weeks ago. Views were great but I wasn't overly impressed with the course. I played Windswept Dunes 2 days before and it was in great shape. It's worth the drive, I will play again.

Haven't played any others there yet.

Origins is a great 10-hole par 3 course near Rosemary Beach. In great shape and fun to play.

Regatta Bay was in great shape a couple weeks ago.

I personally like Emerald Bay, but only under $80 for a morning round.

I'm a member at Regatta. Greens are slooooow right now. They have been worried about the heat and let them grow a little too much.

Played Camp Creek on Friday and it was in good shape. I have not played anywhere outside of those two since April, but Raven and BP are almost always in good shape.

Tried to get a tee time at sharks tooth this week through my club. The pro there told me unaccompanied guest tee times are only after 12:30 and green fee is $245 (!!)

No course is worth that unless we’re talking top 100 golf digest or something

$245 for a destin course? They need to go play in the street.

Yeah, they get a bit ridiculous out there. Regatta is $180 non-accompanied and $80 with a member.

Sippy, we have a group heading there all next week and playing regatta Monday. Any updates on greens is much appreciated and yes, biting in the buck 80 green fee. Played it numerous times and have yet to walk away disappointed one time. One of my favs there.

They were supposed to cut them this week because there was a 2 day member tournament today and tomorrow.

The course is in amazing shape and even the greens look great, they just need to be cut shorter. We are supposed to get a decent amount of rain the reminder of the week so hopefully that gives them some relief.

Like most things from Destin to 30A, they're wayyyy over priced.

While it's nowhere near the best the only course I have found in the Destin area to be worth what they charge is Seascape.

Seascape

Seascape is about to build condos on the back 9. It will no longer be an 18 hole course.

Seascape also owns emerald bay which is a decent course for the price.

Played Indian bayou yesterday. Was raining the first few holes but cleared up after. Course was in good condition. Greens rolled well even with the rain. Played the 1:48 tee time for the special deal. Definitely a good value in Destin.
