Indian creek, creeks course to be more specific. Don't bother with the lakes course. Cowboys is really good, but it is expensive.

Pecan hollow in Plano is great. Not sure where you're staying.

Awesome course, but you wouldn't catch me dead out there on the Saturday before labor day. 6 hour round incoming.

We're staying at the Dallas Westin, off of John Carpenter Freeway.

My group is planning to play two rounds while we are there for the LSU Miami game. We are playing Texas Star Thursday afternoon and planning on playing The Tribute Friday morning. Is the Tribute a pretty good track or should we play somewhere else? None of us have played in the Dallas area before.

I've heard that it's better since they got rid of the bent greens. I know it had gotten pretty bad for what they wanted for a green fee. I think you'll have fun, but I'm not sure playing the TPC in Los Calinas wouldn't be better.

tribute is great. but if you can't keep it in the fairway, bring plenty of balls cause there's no point in trying to find it in the rough. that said, they are pretty big.

Speaking of Dallas golf, has anyone played Golf club of Dallas, the old Oak Cliff CC? Looking to play there in a few weeks.

I played there last year. It's whatever... It certainly won't blow you away.

for the price, it's really good. classic country club layout and it's kept in pretty good shape. it's not a must see, but it's a fun course that's pretty challenging.

Just a very average course, nothing special or exciting, nice clubhouse though

Quite a few times. It's a nice track. Very solid golf course. Probably the best public course in the Allen / McKinney area, unless I'm forgetting something.

Taking this trip this week. Can I get a rundown of:

Tierra Verde
Hawk's Creek
Waterchase

I'm flying into DFW early and have an afternoon meeting in downtown Fort Worth. Anywhere that I should play that isn't in that list? Of that list, what is my best option?

Also, The Golf Club of Dallas... Perry Maxwell / Press Maxwell for less than $50?

Thanks

Waterchase is really good. Hawk's creek is fun. Never played Tierra Verde, but I've heard good things

I've heard Texas Rangers Golf Club is outstanding. It's in Arlington.

Cedar Crest is better than Golf Club of Dallas imo. It’s in a sketchy part of Dallas but a great layout and usually in decent shape. Great price too
