Played Stonebridge Ranch CC Dye Course yesterday, was in great shape, firm and fast all over, playing with the 2004 British Open champ made it a little more fun and competitive.

Cedar Crest is better than Golf Club of Dallas imo. It’s in a sketchy part of Dallas but a great layout and usually in decent shape. Great price too

I love Cedar Crest, but playing on the weekend is a disaster. We had an early tee time Saturday and it took us ~5 hours to play. Another round about a month ago was so slow we quit at #12.

i would give tierra verde a slight edge over Waterchase but it is very close. Hawk's is fun but at the bottom of this list. I would recommend Squaw Creek in willow park a little bit of a drive but a fun course.

Yeah when I would play there I would either go off early around 7:30/8 to beat the rush or play it after work around 5 so no one would really be out there. Worst time to play any muni is from 9:00 Am to around 2/3 PM.

Oak Cliff.
Are there still 2 bunkers in front of just about every green? Played it as a kid 25 years ago and remember that hitting approaches long was usually the safe bet as I spent all day in the sand.

Tierra Verde is a pretty fun course. Not much space out there, trees pretty much line the side of the fairways and there are some small landing zones.

2 is a par 5 and probably the most intimidating hole Ive ever played by a good bit. 600+ yard uphill dogleg right. And your Drive has to fly a creek at about 260 or so

Still want to play Tierra Verde, Texas Rangers, and Cowboys when I get the chance. Excited to play Brookhaven in a scramble beginning of November. I have been here about a year and I am trying to work myself around the courses.

To my DFW golfing friends...Indian Creek, Coyote Ridge, Bear Creek, or Texas Star?

Texas Star is by far the best course on this list. I played Coyote Ridge yesterday and the greens have not grown back well from their fall punch.

Played Golf Club of Dallas or Oak Cliff, still not sure what to call it. It was awesome. $40 definitely well spent. Would highly recommend

I'm visiting family in the area this weekend. Played Coyote Ridge, Thursday. Good track, nothing spectacular. Course was in very good condition. 25+mph winds sucked though. Played Texas Star yesterday. Everything about the place was 5*. Fairways and greens were perfect. Manageable rough, and bunkers were well maintained. Clubhouse, pro shop were nice and well stocked. Had lunch in the grill and food was great and very affordable. Went out for another nine, after lunch, and the Pro comped it. Ended up playing 16 more holes before darkness ran us off the course. Had I known what great shape it was in, I would've skipped Coyote and played Texas Star two days in a row. Will definitely be going back.

Rangers
Texas Star
Cowboy

Tribute is a fun course. Open with rolling hills like you’re at the open.

I play Robson ranch. Little high on weekends well run and play is fast. Play prairie lakes. 27 Giles play is slow because of crowds but it is cheap. I play Irving golf club. Redo is really good. Price is cheap. I played Thorntree last week, in decent shape. Golf club Dallas is fun and cheap, cedar crest is good and always slow, Stevens park is great. Luna Vista was great lady time I played. I live in Ellis county, don’t like to fight traffic

I live across the street from Tenison and play there regularly. I wouldn't go way out of my way to play it, but the Highlands course is a lot of fun.

Just need to find a good course rotation for the next 5-7 years until I can join Lakewood CC

You guys need to play Pecan Hollow in Plano. Some of the best greens in DFW public courses.

I'll check that out on my next trip over there. Old American, the Tribute, and the new Texas Rangers course are next on the list.
