People are paying $400 to get fit for clubs?! Lololol.

My entire set(minus my driver) cost around $400.

Was not a huge fan of my fitting experience there in Metairie a few months back. Got stuck with a new guy, and I think the trackman was off for the first half of the fitting before they realized it and fixed it. Didn’t feel like they did a good job fitting something specific to me.

Also, the amount they try to charge for a set of clubs is absolutely outrageous. Idc if they are buying shafts and heads separate, they tried to charge over 4 grand for irons in that particular spec. Told them I just wanted my numbers and got out of there.

Maybe the experience is better at other locations.

You’ll get whatever is promoted and some LAGolf shafts and still shoot 108 when it’s over, maybe you’ll get a free CHAMP G4 flat bill out of the deal from the “vault”

I’ve never done a fitting so I just booked one. At the very least I’ll have some valuable info.

No offense, but they would have to pay me 400 bucks to get fitted there.

Know too many guys that have gone to the Houston one and paid ridiculous amounts to get clubs that are wrong for them.

Yea did the Houston iron fitting and paid way to much for as set of Srixon irons with specialty shafts. Played them for awhile then switch to a set of Titleist irons and hit them much better. Would never go there again! Better cheaper options!

I wouldn’t pay $400 to do it but for someone who hasn’t been fitted before it seems like a good value at $100.

Wow. Our local place is $100 for a full fitting to get your numbers and that money is refunded if you buy from them. So a free fitting.

Bopper if you were getting fitted in Houston, where would you recommend?

Impact Precision in Spring if you want the whole experience.

Impact Golf on Dairy Ashford for the eyeball and lie board fitting.

right - isn't it always free if you buy from them? just go somewhere you'll buy from and you don't pay a fitting fee

That's what I was thinking... why is anyone paying to get fitted in addition to buying the clubs? I've never gone anywhere that didn't waive the fitting fee if you bought the clubs through them. Now if you're just going to get your numbers and not buying anything, then I can justify it.

You can GFY if you think I'm going to go pay $600+ for the latest driver and then another $100 just for the "fitting"

I did this $100 deal a few years ago at the Katy location. I thought it was a great experience and a great deal for the fitting. I ended up buying the driver from CC, but then sent the specs for the irons to a clubmaker and got them for 1/4 the price quoted at CC. The fitter didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need; he was very honest and recommended getting some lessons on hitting my 3W and hybrid before investing money in those clubs.

A related anecdote: A few months after getting fitted, I was on the 1st tee at Cinco Ranch, and the starter sent a single to play with my group: It was the guy who did my fitting. Thankfully, I hit the driver ok during the round, and he approved of the irons I got.
