Anyone play it recently or ever? Curious if it is worth going? Looking for other options other than WDW courses but hard to beat the condition they are normally in.

Played it about 2 months ago...Bring a lot of golf balls! There was no stepped rough, just fairway and 1' of 1st cut, then 3 foot tall grass. I lost about 7 golf balls and shot 85. Other than that it was in great condition.
ETA: Forget everthing I just said...We played Champions Gate, not Celebration!!
My Bad

Played it a few times and it was always in great shape. Last time I thought it was in better shape than the Palm. It feels like being at Disney over there; everything manicured, clean, employees in uniform and nice clubhouse.

The Central Florida LSU Alumni play our scholarship tournament there. Has always been in great shape.
Falcon's Fire is close and it is a great layout. It can be soggy if it rains, but one of my favorites.
Also, look into Southern Dunes. May be harder to get on, but worth it.

I played it several years ago when in Orlando on business. They paired me with some snowbirds that play out there all the time. It was nice having them guide me around the course. That being said it is a great layout and a lot of fun to play. You'll enjoy it.

If you’re dead set on not playing the WDW courses, then go play Orange County National. Great facility with two fun course and only 15 min from Disney.
