Anyone golf while on vacation in the Caribbean. Last time I went they said it would be $300 for a round of golf and I didn't feel like it at the time. Planning another trip soon and was wondering if there are cheaper options.

I played Cinnamon Hill in Jamaica several years ago and enjoyed it a lot. I feel like price was $150 for the round with caddie plus $50 for rental clubs (plus caddie tip.)

There are a few holes the caddie will tell you to hit it as hard as you can right at the ocean and the winds will push it back into play. I remember doubting the hell out of him but it worked and was crazy.

I played the Black Pearl resort in Isla Roatan, Honduras while on a cruise. Think I paid about $160 or so; I brought my own clubs.

It was spectacular.

If you play anywhere in Cabo $300 per round is pretty normal. It’s worth it; the courses are beautiful.

I have played Tierra Del Sol in Aruba multiple times. Never over $120 including rental clubs. It is a RTJ course that the Senior tour has played. There are coupons and discounts through most hotels once you get there, just ask front desk or concierge.

Stayed at the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall in Jamaica and got 2 free rounds. Played at the White Witch and Cinnamon Hill. Thoroughly enjoyed both!

I played teeth of the dog in the Dominican and with the cost of the ride from my resort over there, shipping my clubs, green fees, tipping my caddie. I probably spent $700, it was awesome though

Yea when I booked it I didn’t realize it was over an hour from my resort... I guess I assumed an island everything was close

Probably spent $150 on just the drive

Caribbean Golf

While not classically Caribbean, Bermuda is a fricking awesome golf destination and not too expensive for the public courses. I played 4 rounds at 3 different courses on a 6 day trip. And the mini golf was awesome as well: tiny models of famous golf holes. It was great.

They also have some of the nicest locals of any place I have traveled around the world. It is not, however, a great culinary destination...
