Great point. My other questions are concerning the majors for guys who don’t automatically qualify: Can they go through the qualification process? Can anyone stop them?

What everyone fails to realize and what Monohan wouldn’t answer when asked is: The LIV players can decide to finish any commitment to LIV and re qualify or use their continued qualification (if applicable) to the PGA tour whenever they decide. Monohan won’t admit all LIV golfers can come back over to the PGA tour.

It's not automatic that they would be allowed to come back.

The Tours policy board would weigh each player separately and then vote.

Guys like Poulter and now Reed keep burning bridges with their big mouths are harming any chances ( if they even want to return)

Mickleson is wanting to drop out of the lawsuit according the GolfWeek.

The other tours ratings are dropping like a rock and if Fox Sports picks LIV up, well we saw how bad they are at golf broadcasts ( maybe they will bring Holly Sonders back lol). Then then commercial's that some on here complain about will be a part of it.

Most Tour tournaments are opens, if they qualify they can play. Unless we start letting the players pick and choose who they want to include like it's a middle school lunch table.

Fox was the best broadcaster when they had the US Open, and it wasn't close.

No one is saying don't have ads at all if you are on TV. But having 40 minutes of ads, 8 minutes of idiotic Jimmy Roberts features comparing Lucas Bjeurigaard to Jackie Robinson, and only 12 minutes of golf (that happened 15 minutes ago) is awful.

I know people will downvote you, bc its you. However, this is dead on the money.

Legitimately one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen someone try and do in a serious segment.

They were missing shots on the first hole with like 8 guys on the course yesterday! And people will defend them.

Josh Elliott’s thing about Chris Kirk before the players that one year (think it was the year Rickie won) was also hysterical. “This Glorious Madness”

Also, excited to see what a disaster NBC’s coverage is today trying to cover twice as many golf balls in play.

You just posted a 7 year old article about their first year broadcasting golf.

You are incredibly bad at this

Fox’s first US Open was an absolute disaster. They were better after that.

That being said, I have a harder time seeing them being super interested in LIV after selling their USGA rights for chump change to NBC.

I still wonder about that. They sold to Disney and had to divest Fox Sports regional networks (now Bally) so I wonder if the impending intention to sell had anything to do with it.

They also had to air all of the other USGA championships so maybe those were losers, not sure.

Odd move though that I think we still don't have much insight into

the saudis are showing that anything can be bought...

ANYTHING...

even elections...interested what they will buy next...

having said that I can absolutely understand taking generational money to play for them...

for the record I'm a PGA guy...just watching the saga play out...

Homa said it best.

I seriously doubt they could legally keep them from qualifying for the tour again. Huge lawsuit problems for the PGA if they do.
As long as a new player walks away from the LIV tour down the road. Further, many of them have “automatic” exemption status by prior major wins or “factors” already in their pocket. Top $ list, etc…

Brandel was not even close to being one of the best players on tour during his day. If someone offered him a guaranteed 10 million in that day he would have jumped at that
How many up and coming rookies can LIV make spots for?

4? 7?

Less?

Maybe Brandel is talking to the other 100 guys with dreams of a 30 year career on tour?
