Par 3 16th at U club earlier in the week . Playing about 170 into a breeze. 5 iron to about 7 feet and made the birdie putt. Chirp chirp.

Pelican Point Lakes yesterday. Hole 2, par 3, tees are way up while work bring done on main tee boxes. Thin wedge over back of green. 30 yard pitch with gap wedge back uphill to the front pin. Hit it exactly how I wanted and it rolled in like a putt for a never in doubt birdie.

Caught the edge of a downhill 2 foot putt after failing to convince the others that it was “in the leather”. Shaky putt that somehow fell in. It was to win a 4 hole carry.

Hole 16 at Azalea City on Saturday. Dog leg left. Bombed it straight and through the fairway into the woods.

Had 108 to the flag and multiple trees in my line. Had about 15 feet of clearing to the canopy

I hit a low punch shot with a 9 iron, in between the trees, under the canopy with a draw to avoid the bunker on the right.

Landed on the fringe over the bunker and rolled to 12 feet

Missed the birdie. Tap in par.

Cleaning out the garage I found a golf ball, grabbed my 52* and took one swing at a 55 gallon drum about 30 yards away. To my surprise it went in the right direction and into the barrel. Put my club up and got myself a beer for the disbelief of what just happened.

par three on the back...ballmark inches from the hole but stopped at 3' past...
sank a testy 3' down hill for birdie...

next par three hit the left side of the green but trickled 5' into the rough...
sweet lil 48* just on the fringe and rolled true for a 25' chip in birdie...

doubled the next hole...

Scrambling today with my 9 year old just for fun. We’ll scramble from the reds like DeChambeau and just see how low we can go (it’s never very low). On 9, I stuck a 56* within 3 feet from about 82 yards. My son steps up with his 8i and puts one to about 12”. Made for a proud dad.

I think that was the shot of the week for both of us.

That's cool.

For me it would have to be hitting the green in 2 with a 2i from 230 on hole 11 at Ellendale.

That’s an insane shot. Congrats! I’ve never attempted it. Normally just hit a 5 wood.

This weekend it was the par 5 #6 at Royal. Drive went into the trees on the right which left me 220 from the green with no shot. My play was to punch a 3 iron through the trees and towards the oak tree front left of the green. Smoked it right through the gap I wanted and as a bonus it cut right and wound up 15 yards short of the green in the middle of the fairway. Missed my birdie putt but was happy to get the par after the tee shot.

Best from yesterdays round was my ball in the deep deep rough in front of the greenside bunker on 18. Could barely see the ball. Pin was only 4-5 feet on on the other side of the bunker. Took a wide open lob wedge and swung so hard if I would have toed it it would have rocketed 100 yards and busted out a window to the clubhouse. Ended up just a perfect sky high flop that dropped 2 feet from the pin. Chefs kiss.

Topped driver of 110 yards led to a 225 yd towering 3wood to 2 feet. Routine bird. My only of the day.
