Fantastic shape. Played yesterday and the greens are immaculate. Such a fun course for the mid-handicap golfer. Well done, BREC.

Don’t think fun is limited to mid-handicappers out there

Add 12 in there it's narrower than it looks we call it murder's row.

The front 9 can be had and give you a big boost. You are pumped to have a great game then the back nine kicks you in the dick.

I don't really have an issue with any of those holes besides 14.

12 looks tighter than it is, and I find it's a tougher hole mentally off the tee than it actually is. If you hit it crooked, you will be boned though.

13 isn't terribly difficult as long as your second shot stays right. You can get away with hitting your drive left or right, because it really opens up after that chute of trees. Don't hit your second left though.

14 is tough. It's less than driver, and the way the trees stick out on the right, you have to hit a cut (as a righty) while aiming left of the fairway.

15 is a forced carry, but even if you end up short of the green, there's room between the junk and the front of the green.

16 isn't bad. There's more room left than you think. If you can put it even or just past the fairway bunkers, you have a wedge or short iron in to a receptive green.

17 is a tough putting hole, especially if the pin is left. It plays a club longer than the yardage.

you have to change your approach to the course on each 9

Front: you mostly need to focus where your approach shot goes (#5 being the exception). You can get into some shitty situations around the greens on the front side

Back: you need to focus on where your tee shot goes, mostly to avoid the hazards that line most of the fairways or in the middle of #10 fairway.

Playing Saturday just before lunchtime. First time out there in a while.

Hopefully it won't be a shitshow from the inevitable frost delay

12 is the only hole on the back that gives me fits.
14 I like. 5w and an iron. 16 same kind of thing.

I should have a plaque with my name on it on the last hill on the left of 4 fairway. My ball ends up on that hill every single time I play that hole.

I wish BREC would buy Copper Mill. Would love to get Beaver Creek conditions at a significantly more interesting layout that is 15 minutes closer to BR.

Glad we aren't the only ones. We call 12-15 the Gauntlet.

13 is too easy to call that stretch a gauntlet. It’s a nice stress reliever unless you frick it up. If I frick up 13 my round is over

Played it today. Most of the greens are chewed to shite with unrepaired ballmarks, cleat marks, and patchy. It was honestly kind of a letdown after reading this thread.

The course itself was still in decent condition. Can't really comment on the bunkers since they were wet and compacted

13 is the one hole back there that I worry about. I’m almost slways doing well on that hole till the approach. I try to leave myself a 100 yard shot in and for the life of me, it’s the only hole I can’t hit that shot on. I’ve tried longer, and shorter and the results are the same… front left fringe… just over the bunker.

I do the same thing too. I go driver, 7i, one of my wedges and always am below the hole left.
