I used to play it a lot in its hay day and it was glorious

Haven’t played it in years but a buddy of mine went a couple weeks ago and says it’s not in great shape. Mainly complained that the bunkers essentially had bushes growing out of them.

Played there two weeks ago. Greens and fairways are great but the bunkers are all ground under repair. The bunkers have bushes all in them.

Bunkers have been an issue there for years now. Bunkers are just so expensive to maintain. They might be better served by filling a lot of them in and creating slopes that are cut short and funnel the ball toward the native areas/water.

Likewise, when it first opened 3 and 6 were so easy to hit in 2 unlike today, the par 3’s are still the toughest anywhere from the tips. I haven’t been there in a long time.

I may be playing there Saturday, if so I'll update. I believe someone that works there post on here so he may have more insight.
I played about a month ago, the fairways & greens were in good shape but like CC said the bunkers were ground under repair

Played two weeks ago and I can confirm that the bunkers should be filled in! Other than that my group had a great time. One of the more unique layouts that I have played in LA.

Course was in good shape it was 90 degrees. Greens were good and fairways were good. Bunkers still ground under repair not many people which made it nice

Are the greenside bunkers bad as well or mainly the fairway bunkers?

Layout is great, fairways green good shape, bunkers are HAZARDS, unplayable. Not what it used to be but not the worse by far

The worst shape I have ever seen it, no green was the same speed, No grass on quite a few tee boxes, the hazards are talked about previously, but man it looked like shite. They must be struggling mightily, it desperately needs to be sprayed(herbicides).

yeah i don't know where people are getting good greens from. hairy, grainy, poa everywhere, mole cricket holes and sand everywhere.

fairways are rock hard and thin grass, so the ball sinks to the dirt.

lost a ball in a greenside bunker Saturday

I hate a few holes out there, but its a shame what that place looks like now for such a cool layout

Played Atchafalaya today... bunkers are unplayable and over grown.... greens are smooth but very slow.... fairways are good, but hard and ball rolls out pretty good. I love the layout!!!! Played the tips... couldn’t reach the hole due to slow greens. Shot 82... +7 on the front ...+3 on the back...

Damn Ping, aren't the tips like 7400...always loved the layout as well, except for no.7
Hole just doesn't make sense to me I guess

The par 3 ‘s are brutal...It’s a fun track though!
