Anyone change from Titleist MB/CB to Apex Pro 21 irons?

Fitting today on Apex Pro 21 irons just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Has anyone changed from Titleist MB or CB to these lately? I have some 712 MBs PW-7 / CBs 5-4. Apex pro felt great and distance was longer. Partly due to stronger lofts I’m sure.

But just curious if anyone out there has made this exact switch? Thoughts if so? Thanks?

Subtle I'm a ball striker brag.

CBs used to be a lil funky but now they are beautiful.

Morikawa plays cavity backs.........................., you would probably be better off doing the same.

Unless you keep a 2nd bag of blades for fun, which I'm seriously considering

Not Titleist MBs, but I had a combo set of the 2018 Apex MBs (7-PW) and 2019 Apex Pros (4-6). I've played several different sets of the Apex Pros, including two of the Dot versions. They're extremely nice clubs.

That being said: Srixon ZX7s in the bag

Hahaha. Ball striker wanna be….just looking to upgrade after having these foe 10 years and have more forgiveness plus a little more distance.

I’m intrigued with the Srixons as well and need to hit those too before I make a call. Apex pro irons forgiving in your opinion?

I hit the new Apex Pros and they are sweet!
I had Apex pros before my Srixons.

Hit the Srixons before making a decision. You just might end up being One of Us

Just my opinion but the feel would be a tough change going from blades to those Pros. Those pros are nice and imo are the best feeling hollow body but they are def a hollow body iron. I know plenty of good players that game the pros and they’re are nice. You’re def gonna go through a major feel change with those.

These irons aren’t in the same category. Apex Pro will be more forgiving and have stronger lofts. Hollow body design. Coming from a forged iron, i don’t think I could get used to the feel. I just ordered some new Callaway X Forged CB’s. I think those would be better if you’re coming from MB’s or CB’s. The X Forged CB’s are sweet.

I made the move from Titleist 690 CBs to Apex 19s last year. I’m completely satisfied.

ETA: I hit the pros, but never could get the feel I wanted from them. May be because I’m getting older. (42). Not really sure. I play to a 3 hcp with a 93 swing speed with the 7, so I went in looking pros, the regs just felt better to me. Personal choice.

Played my X7's Wednesday. Played great on the front, then a bitch of a sinus infection took over on the back.

Really surprised that the X7's look better to my eye than the X5's did.

Back on subject, the Apex 21's are a great club.

Very cool to hear. You find the apex to be longer and more forgiving? Any issues with the “flier” shots out of normal lies? I’ve heard that’s a concern with the hollow body.

I haven't hit the 2021s but found the 2019s to be forgiving. Even the Dot models off the Tour Van were forgiving. Just a thinner topline and little more compact.

I've always played Titleist & Callaway irons. These Srixons aren't leaving the bag. Definitely try them out!

Longer and more forgiving for sure. Granted, they are stronger lofts than my CBs were, but I picked up about 13 yards per club with a much higher ball flight. I can control them just as well as my CBs, which was surprising given the hollow body.

As for fliers, the only time I’ve had them was from the rough. If the ball was sitting up, and I really centered it, I’d go slightly long, but nothing that’s really been an issue. I’ll say this, if you put a good move on them, it’s as pure a contact and feel as any club I’ve ever hit.

You're spot on with your assessment. I had the regular Apex 19s before I moved into a Pro set. My only complaint was I was getting several of those fliers from the fairway per round with them.

Sitting on 185, grab a 6 iron, and it's flushed 200+

I’ve got a set of apex combos that have been hit for one round, if anyone is looking.

You'll love the ZX7s. They're surprisingly forgiving too

I’m fired up and felt the forgiveness in my fitting session. The fitting was on an actual range so was nice to see ball dispersion, height, etc. I decided to go with the zx5 4 iron since loft is same and will give some added forgiveness. I hit the zx5 7 iron and didn’t notice much change.
