I’ve finally accepted that driver on 14 just isn’t the right play for me. A little left or right on a well struck drive gets me in trouble. I went 7 wood (that I pushed right, but still in the fairway), 7 wood, lob wedge and lipped out my birdie putt last time. Usually I push driver in the trees to the right, which is just jail.
I don't hit driver on it either.. not enough draw I'm in the wood.. too much I'm in that thick shite to the left.. I was using hybrid from the tee, but now I'm use a my driving iron.. goal is to get it to draw and fall right above where the cart path curves deep into the fairway and get as close to that point on the left.. from there just depends on my roll out..

Last time I played it was dead into the wind right before a storm rolled in. Proceeded to pop up a driver, then I went 5iron thinking id have 200 or so in. Ended up completely miscalculating and being 246 out, I somehow I got a 3 wood to 8ft and drilled the putt. Crazy how golf works

Since I've been down a driver I played a hybrid 1up/2up I believe it green and gold out there.. flippin birdied the holes before and after 12.. I gotta get that ridiculousness outta my head on 12.. everytime I play it shite just goes wrong..
That club has been fantastic btw, so I appreciate you parting with it...

Played CM yesterday, greens are much better than last month. Course was dry, and in great shape.

Played today. Greens roll pretty well but a little furry. Fairway was furry too and very little roll out on drives.
One thing I've noticed is the greens are much smaller than the original design. Some to the point it is comical.

I played it alot 15 yrs ago and it was solid. Great greens and well managed.
Really strange people tie losing the driving range to its downfall.

I have said that too. It's downfall was greens quality and clubhouse service were both inconsistent.
I will say both are very consistent now. Not saying primo. But, you know what to expect every time you go and every green rolls the same.

Bump. I’m playing there next weekend. How does it look
Posted on 10/21/22 at 7:27 am to CoachChappy
The fairways and most of the course are dry as frick and I played after the rain the other day. Lots of roll…. That being said, the greens were receptive and rolled pretty well. That was the fastest that they’ve been in a really really long time.
In typical Copper fashion…. There’s usually a bunch of ball marks due to the amount of idiots that play out there.
Also, the #2 tee boxes are basically all sand.

Must be a Zachary thing because Beaver Creek was the same way last weekend...

I fix 5-6 on every green every time I play out there.

Yup… same here. The greens are finally getting better over there and people don’t give a shite.

To be fair, it is at any public course that gets a good bit of play. I don't know why people cannot fix their divots.

Semi privates too. Played a scramble yesterday and one guy in the group asked me why I was fixing my divot and what does it do. Took the time to explain why and showed him how. Can’t believe anyone who plays golf doesn’t know this.

Private clubs too. Played Ellendale today and fixed 3-4 on every green. People are just lazy fricks everywhere.
