I usually post about my girls golf.. which they are just loving the Junior golf world... but me.. I’m a hacker since I hardly get to play (play a couple
times a month for work with clients - 18 handicap ... but I’ve sat through lessons for my girls for 6 years and started thinking about swing mechanics... over the winter - my girls coach transformed my youngest’s swings to Ben Hogans as the coach said she’s so smooth and natural - she just made some tweaks. As I looked into Hogan’s swing - I stumbled on to the stack and tilt good swing. - and for a high handicapper like me (as a kid I played a lot I was more like an 7-8) - it’s reduced the duffs to maybe 15% and dropping and I’m making solid contact in a way I haven’t since I was in my teens (I turn 50 in December) - just wondering if anyone else has heard or tried this... seems like some teachers consider it a gimmicky and I read the golf channe has banned it from any of their instruction platforms...

It’s what I try to do with my golf swing. Get loaded and stay centered is all it really is.

They didn’t come up with the phrase and can’t make money off it.

It’s taken years to perfect such a repertoire. Might take it out to Kiva soon

It was the rage 20 years ago. I tried it but you definitely lose distance and some of the ability to shape as well.
The pro level folks would never touch it again. It was partly blamed for tigers decline.

Stack and Tilt was the marketing name for it.
It's essentially staying centered and not moving off the ball. Most guys do a form of it on tour, allow the right leg to straighten on the takeaway, then push into the ground. It's a way to use ground forces. Gankas teaches the same move in the backswing.
