Why the hell would he give up his insurance to play one event?

Because it’s only valued at 10 million which is chump change for LIV

Perhaps they are adding a 14th team for the Saudi event?

no, they are absolutely not. Come on, man. You constantly are posting rumors about LIV that never happen

If Kim is signed for a full season worth of events, I would think even the biggest LIV fans would understand there is no bridge for them to get OWGR points. It wouldn’t make any sense

That’s why I can’t see LIV actually doing it

If he plays on the PGA Tour, doesn't he have to pay back some of his disability? No way he does that. Odds are he wouldn't win enough on tour to make up for the money he'd have to give back.

My memory is getting worse because I had to go google Anthony Kim. Seriously didn't remember anything about him. Was surprised when I saw him on the first page of ESPN like it was a big deal. Apparently he was more popular than I remember. Which is not much Sounds like either Tour would be wanting him for the story that goes along with him, it'd be hard to imagine him legit competing. maybe I'm wrong on that but in golf years, that is a long layoff.

What does Kim playing have anything to do with rankings?

You can’t claim to be a merit based tour with legit paths on and off and such when you hand a player off the streets 14 events to play in. It’s the number 1 complaint the OWGR Board told to LIV

This would be doing the exact opposite of what they asked of LIV

Why are you honing in on their OWGR application because of this? The focus on their OWGR status was due to qualification/relegation. They’re addressing that by adding 4 qualified players in 2024 & increasing the number of relegation spots at the end of this season.

Acting like it matters who they sign to their two wildcard spots out of 54 total spots is kinda silly

It’s not silly at all if you hand a guy an entire contact

1 tournament, sure. The entire year? Yeh, you aren’t a qualifying tour at all with true relegation

It’s 1 of 2 wildcard spots on a 54 man tour. How is that any different than a sponsor exemption?

Even though 4 out of 54 players “qualified” to play on the tour & X number of players get relegated out of the league after the season? Anthony Kim could prob get relegated out of the league himself if he finishes dead last

Has the pga tour ever given a player a seasons worth of sponsors exemptions?

And you are bragging of 4/54 players actually qualifying?

By definition, that makes LIV a qualifying tour, right?

It’s not up to the tour. You had Steph Curry play multiple Korn Ferry tournaments… a tour that gives OWGR points…
