It will be the price of a new game.

The "fee" is simply a license to play the game.

I don't have one but can't smart remotes work through walls, not directly pointed at the TV, etc. Why couldn't the Kinect or something function the same way?

You are just trying to find a way to make it complicated for some reason.

Some can change channels over wifi, but it's only more current boxes.. and once again.. the way it works over wifi, is because there is a chip inside of the box that says to look for signal B in the internet signal in order to do "action C" .. Microsoft will have to get access to that information. I'm not saying it's not going to happen, but that's why microsoft will have to make a deal with each one of these companies.. individually.

Right now Microsoft is in bed with cable companies, does that mean it wont work for satellite? No, but there is a chance still. If all it is, is a pass through, and it doesn't become your box - that's great, it has a much better chance of getting full support. I had just been under the impression that this guy was a DVR as well.. in which case, it was going to be awhile / never before satellite was on board.

It's a pretty normal game website.

Twitch is streaming it. The giant bomb link is a bit nutty, like MST. Hard to keep up with.

Right...the same way smart remotes do. I may be wrong but it sounds a whole lot less complicated than you want it to be.

I have very little doubt it's a pass through from what all was shown and said.

No way...it didn't even measure up to BF3? I guess it was just a cinematic though, huh?

Then please ignore everything I have said..

meh, that means you still have to have a DVR etc.. this thing just makes you not have to push the input button. We've gotten lazy.. we now need our xbox to be our universal remote.

They added a few more features to it though so I guess that makes me feel a little better about it.
