why would PC Master Race want GamePass on their PC?

the same reason console players would want it...?

PC players pay for games just like console players.

They keep rapidly increasing their ultimate package with the day 1 access for new releases.

Meanwhile pc players get steam sales, discount key sites, and don’t have to pay to use online capabilities.

I think this is becoming a social experiment to see how much money Microsoft can separate from their rube consumer base.

there aren't many "day 1" deals on PC other than Game Pass. which is the only real appeal to having Game Pass in my opinion.

everything else is retro/bargain bin stuff.

The other tiers did not change in price, just Ultimate, so if $30 isn't worth it to you there are still the $10 and $15 tiers. The primary difference here is you won't get the day 1 releases, access to EA Play, or access to the Ubisoft+ Classics titles.

They also added Hogwarts Legacy to the service today, but I'm betting anyone who wanted to play that game already owns it.

Game pass technically still has the one benefit that you can sub for 1 month to play a new AAA release instead of paying $70-$80, then cancel. But if that’s basically your only selling point your service isn’t long for this world

They give out Hogwarts for $10 every other week, cheaper than a month of Gamepass.

I am done after mine if up next July other than the odd month for PC.

Pay $30 for a month to play a new AAA release

OR

Wait 2 months for that same AAA release to be $40 and you actually own the game after

Yea I agree... but the point is you pay $30 and then cancel the sub. If you are a gamer that beats a game and then never plays it again, I guess it may be worth

Literally $360 a year for mostly shite games to play day one and old games that you’ve played. Not worth it.

I’m starting to think there really will be some epic pearl clutching when people realize they own nothing more than a cup holder after companies end of life their games and pull the zero day update.
