Oh boy.

I mean, it's not nothing, but that would certainly be a little anticlimactic on Christmas Day.

Yeah, I imagine most parents wont even realize the mistake until their kid opens it.

I'm sorry but if you're a parent who knows a new console is releasing then you see that "it's only $199", you need to have more damn sense and realize that something is off

To be fair, calling it the Xbox 2, would have been a ton less confusing.

shite I still don’t know true difference between the S and the X other than a disc player and a bunch of flops.

I'm honestly surprised that anyone who knew enough to be online to preorder today actually didn't know the difference between a One X and a Series X.

The story goes that that name was focused tested for the Xbox 360.

From what I’ve heard executives thought that Xbox 2 would appear inferior on a shelf next to a product called the PlayStation 3.

Makes sense. If nothing else keep the cool code names. Xbox Scarlett sounds much more badass than an Xbox series X I guess they are going to use the “series” part to release a ton of versions over the years, it still sucks.

Sums up the intelligence of Xbox buyers pretty well.

Glad I'm a PC gamer and the PC I built almost two years ago is on par with the PS5 releasing in November. I just sit back and watch the chaos.

Not surprised, Amazon was probably the most confusing if you were using their search from the home page.

Was kind of surprised, because every other site was pretty clear and transparent to get to the pre-order.

Knowing Amazon this was probably a calculated move, since it was near certain to sell their allotment of Series X anyways.

And I’m sure your PC total was less than buying both the PS4 and PS5, right?

Mouse and keyboard is worth it yes. How much does a PS5 or Xbox Series X cost? My monitor alone was $515 or so last December.

Oh I totally get it that PC is the ultimate platform for gaming but I don't get the smugness of the PC crowd over console plebs.
