I could not believe how awesome the first one still is. Great challenge and design. I didn't get as lost as I did when I was younger but that map really helps.

Yes the original Doom games are timeless. Still an active community playing them to this day, modding them, creating new maps, etc.

I remember Doom 3 being a fairly large step up for graphics at the time, and that game gave me such a headache if I played it too long

I have not. I'm more excited about Expedition 33 and cautiously optimistic about South of Midnight.
I've never played a Ninja Gaiden, but folks online seem to like the remake. And I certainly can't argue with some of the character models:

You need to play NGB and NG2B sooner rather than later. Skip 3, its dogshit

Started playing NGB2 over the weekend.
Outside of a few buggy weather effects it is a gorgeous game.
I haven't played it since the initial release on the 360. I forgot how fricking wild the storyline is.

Seems I've encountered a serious glitch, or bug, with NGB2.
I've beaten the final boss 3 times and during the subsequent cutscene my Xbox just shuts down.
I turned it back on and it gives me a ventilation issue as the reason for the shutdown each time.
Anyone else having this problem?

WTF. Never heard of such a thing
I beat it 8x to get the platinum on PS5 and never had any technical issues that I can think of

I put a fan right next to my Xbox and beat the Archfiend a 4th time.
