I am looking for something for my 11yo son to play while he is with me this Summer. Any suggestions on games? I don't have internet so it needs to be console only not online. Our current selections include Skyrim, Fallout3, and all of the Halo's.

What's good?

TIA

Batman Arkham Asylum and Rayman Origins would give you some variety.

Well you dont seemed concerned about mature content so the Bioshock games are great, Red Dead Redemption, Portal, Tomb Raider, Batman Arkham Games

If you're good with him playing these, add the Bioshocks and Red Dead Redemption

Those should keep him quite busy and entertained.

Burnout Paradise

Super fun open world racing game. Your son can waste hours just driving around Paradise City, finding stuff to crash into or jump off of.

Great soundtrack too.

I don't mind him playing these with some supervision, The volume is usually way down so he doesn't hear a lot of the language and stuff, I'm not overly concerned with the blood and violence, again I am usually there either playing with him or watching him play.

Then Bioshocks and red dead will be fine. Those don't have any terribly foul language or anything. Bioshocks have some horror elements that *could* be a bit much for an 11 year old, but the games are phenomenal.

I think red dead is a definite one to do. Even without the online, he can have a ridiculous amount of fun just riding around in the world without accomplishing a single story item.
