No, I skipped out on MW3 because I thought it was a step back. Some of the additions to BLOPS2 got me interested enough to play again and I'm glad it did. Looking forward I don't know if the next launch will provide the same reasons but I'll have to wait until then to make the determination.

IMO there are only 3 or 4 really good maps on each COD game. Sure I play MW2, COD4, BLOPS1 from time to time and if I had 1 game with the best of the best maps with different guns and game types, hell yeah I'd buy it.
I'd love to play Hardpoint on scrapyard with a PDW, just as an example.

In my opinion it holds true (with the exception of MW3) that going backwards from the current iteration presents a simpler game. At one point it was a big deal to be able to select kill streaks!

I see where you are coming from, but there is less to gameplan for in BF3. You know what vehicles are on what map and you know there are ways to stop them. In COD I never know what configuration someone is running (equipment/streaks) until we butt heads, more of a challenge (imo).
