they consistently deliver below grade quality often times at a severe delay.
Delivered what games below grade quality? The Forza and Gears latest entries were pretty solid. Halo's multiplayer is mess but Infinite's gameplay is good. Id say the its not that the output is bad, its that there is hardly any out put at all. And as much as I like Halo and Gears they are getting stale.

These layoffs are going to be interesting to watch and see what impact they have to the MS game studios.
MSFT is such a bloated company with personnel, and that was before COVID.
I had so many meetings with them, where 2 of us from our company would show up and they would bring in 5-6 people. So much dead weight on the business side of their company. The paper pushers were abundant and the actual workers with knowledge to get some work done were few.
Hopefully they did not gut the studios or workers.

zero exclusives outside of Halo.
if 9 out of 10 exclusives(regardless of the console) suck, does it really matter?
exclusive arguments have been played out for almost a decade

I was about to say I guarantee I couldn’t see a difference if I hooked up an Xbox to my tv and started playing something like destiny.

XBOX figured they could just buy out all of the major publishers to slow Sony down from making game of the year 1st party titles.

yeah? which games look and play better? because I watch every Digital Foundry comparison video and they're usually completely identical when it comes to average frames and resolution In fact, I've seen the PS5 win more than not

No kidding, gaming is an incredibly cheap hobby.

I have both. Xbox Game Pass is fantastic for nostalgia and doing a replay of games you maybe haven’t played in many years. That’s all I use the Xbox for, but I enjoy it.
AOE2 releasing on console soon

Had my Metal Slug 2 appraised at $7,000, then my Double Dragon at $5,800, Garou: Mark Of The Wolves at $4000, Metal Slug 3 at $3700, Samurai Shodown 5 at $3,500 and Samurai Shodown 3 (english) at $1600.
All the rest are in the $450-$1500 range
Et
Id love to come across a legit metal slug original..but..

That's pretty cool but the average gamer isn't collecting vintage games, my point is that at $1300 you can have each of the latest consoles or build a decent PC rig.

I agree, I know it's ridiculous.

What makes Neo Geo AES so valuable for collectors? Low production numbers?
Posted on 1/23/23 at 4:58 pm to bad93ex
quote:thats part of it, there wasn't a high demand in the early 1990s for the average home consumer. Sometimes a release had maybe 1000 units, even fewer English.
Low production numbers?
My best friend I met on the 1st day of 3rd grade, had 2 much older twin brothers who were at the time and into metal, marijuana and quality video games. I grew up over there on Neo Geo AES, my friend passed away in 2007 so it hold a special "coming of age" place in my heart and why I'm willing to spend stupid money on it.
I look at it as kind like comic book collecting at this point
Eta
I've had some of those games since the 90s though, and what they are worth now is crazy.

A lot of nostalgic pieces from the 90s are worth some good cash now like Starter jackets and SNES cartridges.
