I'm prob old school but I prefer a closed console, tv, and couch for gaming.

Ditto for me. Part of it is that I sit and use a computer all day, for work, for surfing the web, paying bills, for whatever.

Mentally I just don't view sitting in my chair at the PC as this relaxing, fun experience. Having a machine dedicated solely to gaming, even if technologically inferior, is sort of nice little separation mentally.

I mean I still play games on PC, always have and always will, but it's just not the same relaxing experience laying on my couch in front a big tv is. I know you could hypothetically setup a gaming PC in that configuration if you wanted, but still.

So it'll have to be always online to work and I'll never be able to actually own anything?

Yeah, that's a hard pass for me.

I don’t like the idea of dumbing down the games too. What’s the point of beating a game when I can just watch a video of the game and then do the stadia thing and have me jump in? I don’t like it.

This will have mass appeal like the wii console. Women and boomers will love it. Children will love it..facebook gamers and mobile gamers will too..that sucks bc I think that slice of the pie is bigger then the hardcore gamers that shunned xbox bc of always on req and no game sharing. Its crazy too see how a generation later that no media gaming and no real ownership is viewed as a selling point.

How does this thing work for people without great connections? Sucks to be them i guess

It's so easy to see how badly the industry wants to push this given that the technology to make this indistinguishable from local play just isn't there yet.
