Lots of rumors that in year 1 there will be a BotW remaster.

Jesus, just take my money now.

I don't really get this considering TOTK was the same game but with a larger world and better powers. Playing a remastered BOTW will feel like a step back.

Yeah, that could be pretty epic in 4K

Not if they unify them in 4K on a single remastered version.

Add a small new phase between the two to bridge the gap and Holy shite. I'd pay $99 for it.

That would be amazing to consider.

I'd be happy if they just fleshed out the depths some more and made the areas outside the dungeons there interesting.

Oh and add some freaking settlement building options to rebuild Hyrule.

I did feel that this was missing from the larger game. All those caches of building materials and nothing to do with them.

I have barely put a few hours into BoTW and haven't played TotK, but that video is insane. 2 freaking minutes to land! That's massive.

Granted, you can dive and close the distance faster but it's even more fun than it looks on the video. Catching Shooting Stars as you're skydiving at night is awesome.

Yeah, sell them both on the same cartridge and add a shite ton of new sky islands in TotK. I believe I read there were supposed to be a lot more, but they ran out of space on the cartridge and had to cut like half of them.

Could be cool to add the Twili race down there. Still can’t survive the sunlight, but created a new civilization and also using Zonai devices could be cool.

The decision not to have any expansion content for TOTK is absolutely baffling to me. The engine is built. You don't need the A Team on it. Have some 2nd string guys program the mobs, crank out some new textures, etc. Resurrect a dungeon that you had to cut previously.

It can't be that hard. Look at how relatively simple the BOTW expansions were.

Seems like there would at least be a few 3rd party games at launch right?

I wonder how many 1st party games will actually be available.

Mario kart
Metroid
New premium Mario game?

It was wild that on a system as popular as the switch there was only one new premium 3d mario game.

I've already decided I'll pre-order and grab a pro controller and at the very least Mario Kart and Metroid when I pick it up. Honestly the biggest reason is so I can stop sharing our current switch with my kids and their disgusting hands.

It's releasing in June? Did I miss where they announced that?

They have not. Most of the speculation I've seen has been mid May to June. I also find it extremely hard to believe there will be ZERO third party games at launch.

Based on Nintendo's plan to fight scalpers and have ample supply at launch, you have to think they already have started amassing a supply to ship day one.

They may announce an official launch date at the Switch 2 Nintendo Direct on 4/2.

Also a couple additional rumors:
1. For some reason people think there will also be some sort of Nintendo Direct tomorrow?
2. Pre-orders will start after the Switch 2 Nintendo Direct on 4/2.
