Literally the exact same thing happened to my wife. She went to Target and they said they had a pre order that cancelled 30 minutes before she walked in and she was able to buy it. Not the Mario Kart bundle but IDGAF

Target website said in stock at Siegen and Millerville as of 10AM. Walked in at Siegen and bought one at 10:30

I watched an unboxing video on youtube and the stapler thing absolutely checks out.
The screen is just right under the top flap so a big staple at the top could absolutely catch the screen underneath.
I'll also note out that stapling on the box period is f'ing terrible because many people, especially day 1 console buyers, like to keep the box as a show piece or for their collection and you don't want to f'ing staples all over it and damage removing them.

Wow....I ordered from Walmart and they kept saying delivery today but nothing had shipped till last night. Today morning at 6am, I got a knock on my door. Guy was delivering the switch 2 from the store.

I just got a shipping notification from Gamestop, estimated delivery date of Saturday. I'm not sure I could possibly be more irritated.

Playing Split Fiction with my wife. It's been pretty fun so far. I also gave BOTW and TOTK a quick spin to play with the new app functionality. What a pair of good-looking games now

Man, that sucks. So sorry to see them drop the ball like that.
My expectations from Walmart couldn't have been lower but they outperformed and overdelivered today.

That is a horrible box design.
All of these reports of bountiful stock leads me to believe that Dave & Busters will have theirs in relatively short time.

Got all my stuff transferred over from my Switch 1 and just started downloading Mario Kart World. Headed to the gym so hopefully it’s done by the time I get back

MKW was a fairly quick download, but the rest of my Switch library that has a high likelihood that I'll play in the next month took much longer. Tomorrow's 256GB microSD Express card can't get here soon enough.
